# 13 Momo

Hey you guys!

I am back with my 30 days writing challenge with 7 months of delay. HAHA.

Eh. I just gonna post the challenge whenever i want.

I have posted about my number 1 favorite book actually it’s the Book of Lost Things. It’s literally my favorite as I have bought it again when I am in Germany. I could not find it in ID so I was so happy when I found it on amazon!

Well, since I have talked about it before I guess I could just post about other book. It’s an old novel by Michael Ende (1973) called Momo or The Grey Gentlemen or The Men in Grey. I first found out about this book from a friend during our class in last summer term. So we had to bring one thing and explain it why it correlates with you. And he showed this book. At that time, I was heart broken (uwu~) and I just bury my sorrow with books. Yea, when I was heart-broken I accomplished more than now. ahahaha sad.

Anywaaay, I dont usually read novel and I dont particularly enjoy novel (though my fave book is a novel (????)) but this book seemed interesting. So i just gave it a try. And oh boy, the story is just muach. *chef’s kiss.*

I wont say many about this book so you can check it out yourselves but if you have read the Little Prince, then yea, the lessons kinda remind you of Little Prince. You can reaaaally relate the story with your life especially when you’re currently adulting. Momo is telling you the concept of time and how it is used. I have many fave quotes from this book, but I’ll pick three of them:

People never seemed to notice that, by saving time, they were losing something else

Most of us take for granted and never think twice about, is time

Why should I care as long as I get my wages at the end of the week

For me these quotes relate with my daily life. A LOT. Oh how I just go with my life without paying attention of time, thinking as long as my work is done and i’m paid a decent amount of money everything will be fine.

So, what do you think? I hope you’re interested in the book as I am! Lemme know if you read the book and tell me what do you think 😀

Cheers,

Kemmy

#12 Welcome! Everything is fine.

Hey you guys!

Soooo I havent posted anything for a while (like it’s a new thing to happen Kem). Well, uni has started since last Monday and I am so tireeed. Eh, my fault really for taking too many modules. Anyway I want to continue my 30 days writing challenge and this would be the 12th post: tv series. As you all know, it is very clear that I am into Game of Thrones and even went to its filming location. Awesome. I also love How I Met Your Mother and though many disapprove its ending, I actually like it despite the not-so-entertaining last season. At first I wanted to talk about one of them but hey, I have talked about them couple of times so why not choosing other tv series that I like?

So here you go: Welcome! Everything is fine.

Yes. The Good Place.

I first saw its trailer on instagram, some random accounts posted it. Hey Kristen Bell! I like her! I wanted to watch it but I didnt have Netflix and yea I basically just forgot about the show. Then my friends, Tom and Celine, talked about this show and Tom recommended it to me. Just my luck, my brother paid for my Netflix hahahha (I’m poor guys). When I went back to Indonesia, I just binge watched the series. Luckily, it was short. So, every episode is only 30 minutes long. Easy to watch: both its story and duration.

I just love to see how the group grows together and my favorite character is Jason Mendoza because he is really entertaining. Like a kid trapped in a grown up body hahaha. But also stupid. Molotov cocktail for life. Wooo

What I like about this show is that not only it is easy to watch, but also it has nice messages on life. Being human is complicated nothing is 100% wrong or right. Though you are trying to be good, it doesnt mean your actions have no negative effect. Getting what you want every single time is not fulfilling. My German teacher always said to me: ein bisschen Stress ist gut (a little stress is good) and I live by these words. Well actually, she usually said that whenever we got frustrated by the lesson ahahah.

Also, I think the series ending is just perfect. They answer the question of “now what?

So yea. Give it a go guys! It’s only 4 season, 30 mins per episode, the story is easy to understand and basically it’s just easy to watch this show aaaand more importantly the story and the messages are just great.

Cheers,

Kemmy

#11 Oh my God, my sister is going to die!

Hey you guys!

Today I want to continue my 30 days writing challenge which is about my sibling. I have one big brother who is only 1 year older. My mom was surprised when she was pregnant with me. “I just gave birth and I was already pregnant. I was embarrassed” Mom. That is such a weird thing to get embarrassed about. My brother and I were not breastfeed by my mom because there was basically no milk coming out. She also did not have any signs/symptoms like nausea for example. Well, apart from her period was late. Hence, she didnt know that she was pregnant. Actually my mom initially wanted to have an abortion (yep, I was supposedly die) because she was afraid that she hurts me as she took a medicine to get her period while she was pregnant. But then she decided to keep me and gave birth to me. Phew, dodge a bullet (or did I really?).

Anyway, it was only my brother and I basically. I mentioned in my previous post that my parents were working. So yea. Since there are only the two of us (yes, until now. I refused to have younger siblings ever since I was a kid. Dont wanna someone to steal my parents’ attention from me hahahaha), I am really close with my brother. Of course we fought (a lot) but hey, siblings are nothing without a fight (uh what?). I remember that mostly we fought because of, well, food. Until now. HAHAHA OH GOOD LORD. You see, I am the type who likes to keep her favorite food and eat it later. While my brother is the type who eats his favorite first. So I liked to store my favorite food in the fridge and eat it little by little, one example: chocolate milk. I still remember the time when I bailed my eyes out because my brother drank my milk and I was really looking forward to it. My brother, with his innocent puppy eyes and chubby cheek, responded with “but I was hungry.” Awesome, big bro. Yes, yes. Very trivial fight. Oh kids.

When I was in first grade of elementary school, I think I was 6, I had this surgery to remove my tonsils because it got inflamed and swollen. The surgery itself was not that painful, I meant I was not even awake hahaha. I was basically unconscious and when I woke up there are some of my family members inside the room. I remember I saw my aunt beside the bed. When I woke up, I coughed and when I spit I saw blood on the facial tissue. I, a stupid 6 years old who watched too many TV shows, freaked out. Ya know, in the soap opera they usually have this scene when you coughing blood and it is a sign that you have a chronic illness and are going to die? Yea, sometimes I watched that shows on TV with my housekeeper. So yea my mind was going crazy: I am going to die. This is it. This is the sign. Yep. I was so shocked, I cried and kept saying that something is wrong and if I am going to die. It was brutally messy. Yep.

Oh it got even worse. My brother came in, holding a barbie doll as a gift for me, saw me freaking out with blood everywhere. So what happened? Now you have 2 kids freaking out and screaming frantically.

“MY SISTER IS GOING TO DIE! NOOOOO”

After hearing that, I, of course, got even moreeeee freak out. HAHAHAHA GOOD OL’ TIMES. I cant imagine the horror that the adults had that time hahahha. What a dramatic kids we were.

To be honest I could not really remember what happened next. But one thing I remember very well was that I could not eat not even swallowed my own saliva because my throat was hurting like hell. I was promised with lots and lots of ice cream for nothing. Yea, they bribed me with ice cream so I wanted to do the surgery. So innocent, Kem. Oh and the smells of sunny side up was just, uh, hell. It smelled so delicious. So close but so hard to reach. For the next one week, I just kept staring at my brother eating his sunny side up in jealousy. Hahahaha oh good old times.

Cheers,

Kemmy
